Game 1: USA vs ZIM

We just got off the court against Zimbabwe where we lost by ONE point! Ugh... tough game, tough loss. Even so, I am amazed and proud of what our team has been able to do. It was an incredible feeling being escorted down to our locker room through the halls of the arena. We had a strong warm up and walked into the arena to the crowd cheering. The game was tight and we fought one goal at a time. The most exciting part of the game was when we started the game trailing by 4. When our first goal hit the scoreboard, the crowd sounded both surprised and excited. It was incredible! All of the other games played today by the other nations were one by less than a handful of points, similar to our game. We might be thought of the underdogs but America has game and we're here to play! Tomorrow's match against Ireland will be tougher than this one.
